At Bible study at the moment we’re reading through Andrew Wilson’s Incomparable – “Explorations in the character of God”.
One of the chapters we read and considered last night was “God is good”. Seems pretty straight forward right?
Well, as we learned amongst rambling about milk, this could be a property of God’s character, an opinion of him or a definition of him. Whichever it is, it’s not good as in the alright/mediocre way we might use it; it’s good as in the complete absence of bad. It’s a goodness we can learn about but that we also need to experience for ourselves. And whatever God does is good – even if we don’t understand or cannot see how that can be.
We spent time sharing how we have seen/ known God’s goodness in our own lives and thanking him for what he’s done for us.
When ahve you seen God’s goodness in your life? What are you thankful for?
